Cal South is proud to host a Specialty Clinic on February 22nd from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at Santa Ana College with special guest clinician Dawn Scott. This clinic is designed for Coaches who work with Female Players.
Dawn Scott is a world-leading sports scientist and performance coach, widely regarded as a leading expert in women’s injury prevention, load management, and female-specific training methodologies. She is currently a consultant with Dawn Scott Elite Performance Consulting (www.dawnscottepc.com) having previously been Director of Performance for the Washington Spirit, a professional club competing in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Dawn joined the United States Women’s National Team in January 2010 as part of head coach Pia Sundhage’s staff and remained with U.S. Soccer under head coaches Tom Sermanni and Jill Ellis. During her tenure, she was part of the performance staff for the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games and the 2011, 2015, and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups, contributing to one of the most successful eras in international soccer history.
In addition to her work with U.S. Soccer, Dawn has held performance roles with Inter Miami CF and the England Lionesses, and continues to be a global leader in advancing evidence-based performance training and injury prevention for female athletes.
